Hitmaker Kanye West has compared himself to two well-known characters from kids' movies in a new interview.

During a chat with W, the music mogul compared his working style to the DIY enthusiasm shown by the character of Vanellope (voiced by Sarah Silverman) in the animated movie Wreck-It Ralph: 

"OK, so you know when Penelope puts together her car? And she's like, 'Made it myself,' and everybody that has professional cars, they say, 'Look at you with your little car and you're going to do this,' and then they break her car, right? That's basically the fashion world to me." 

Kanye also likened himself to Will Ferrell's character in the festive favourite movie Elf, adding: "I'm the elf that's Will Ferrell, that's too big for his hands to make the toys."
