Kanye West leads 2012 Grammy nominations

The 2012 Grammy Award nominations were announced yesterday, November 30, and Kanye West is leading the pack with an impressive 7 nods. 

The 'Heartless' superstar's hit 'All Of The Lights' earned him nominations for Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song, his collaborative record with Jay-Z 'Watch The Throne' is up for Best Rap Album as is 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy', and 'Otis' is a contender for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. 

Adele and Bruno Mars have notched up 6 nominations apiece and will both compete for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. 

Rockers Foo Fighters also have 6 nominations, notably for Best Rock Performance and Album of the Year, and Lady Gaga has been widely recognised for Best Pop Solo Performance and Album of the Year. 

The ceremony will take place next year, on February 12, and the full list of nominees can be found at grammy.com/nominees.
