Rap star Kanye West has avoided felony charges after prosecutors decided not to file against him following a scuffle with a videographer at LAX Airport.

The incident in question happened on July 19th when West tried to wrestle the camera from a videographer’s hands after being followed through the airport. It was not West’s first outburst of this ilk, nor was it the first of its kind at LAX. Only one week earlier he was met by cameras at the airport and demanded the snappers leave him alone.

However, prosecutors say that the paparazzi in question did not suffer any significant injury as a result of the attack and the camera remained in his possession undamaged.

The issue is not yet laid to rest though, as the case will continue on to the city attorney to be considered for misdemeanour charges.
