Kasabian want to play on Mount Everest

Kasabian have joked that they want to play on top of Mount Everest.

The UK rock band are set to headline the Glastonbury Festival next weekend and it seems they are setting their aims high for the future.

Singer Tom Meighan told the Daily Star: "We can only top headlining Glastonbury by being the absolute top of the pops and aiming big. We should do a gig up Mount Everest, that'd be immense. We'd love to headline Wembley Stadium too. We could sell Wembley out. It'd be fantastic to have a massive a show as we could in the capital."

Everest meanwhile sits 8,848 metres above sea level and it is the fifth furthest point from the centre of the Earth.

Kasabian released their latest album '48:13' earlier this year and it hit No.1 in the UK.
