Kasabian: 'The Rolling Stones are headlining Glastonbury this year'

Brit-rockers Kasabian have revealed that iconic band the Rolling Stones will be performing at Glastonbury festival in the UK later this summer.

During an interview with MTV News, the group's Serge Pizzorno was talking about Kasabian's upcoming slot at Hard Rock Calling, which takes place on June 29-30 and clashes with the Glastonbury weekend, when he accidentally made the confession:

"I hope ours is the most talked about performance of the weekend, but that would be a miracle because yhe Rolling Stones are playing Glastonbury."

Pizzorno added: "It's nice because we'll be christening the Olympic Park and we're playing with Paul Weller and Miles Kane, so it's gonna be a great Saturday night.”

Earlier today (March 6), a music fan asked the organisers of Glastonbury via Twitter when the line-up announcement will be a made and a representative replied, saying: "It will be announced before (last time, was April)."
