Katy Perry has spoken about the "genuine" nature of Rihanna.

The two superstars are good friends and the 'Unconditionally' singer spoke about her relationship with the Bajan beauty to OK! magazine.

She said: "[Rihanna] is so down to earth, but also so wild! We share a lot of stuff when we get together. I'm drawn to genuine personalities and people who aren't affected by this spotlight - Ria is so unaffected."

Speaking meanwhile about fellow female music icon Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry commented:

"Miley's just a sweet girl and doesn't care what anyone thinks. Other girls in this business aren't so friendly - they're secret mean girls. I like to hang out with the unaffected girls, like Rihanna."

As previously reported, Perry recently confirmed that she still hopes to record a long-awaited duet with Rihanna.
