Katy Perry: 'I want to ask Obama what he thinks about the existence of aliens'

'E.T.' songstress Katy Perry has revealed that she would love to sit down with the President of the United States of America and talk about the potential existence of life on other planets.

Perry, who is a believer in possible extra terrestrial life forms, told GQ magazine that she wants to pick Obama's brain about aliens, but thinks they need to have a more established friendship before she brings up the tricky topic:

"I see everything through a spiritual lens. I believe in a lot of astrology. I believe in aliens. I look up into the stars and I imagine: How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form? I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I'm going to ask him that question. It just hasn't been appropriate yet."

She then confessed that her perception of a higher power isn't as traditional as a man in the sky who governs all and has a long white beard, adding: "I believe in a cosmic energy that is bigger than me. I do not believe God is an old guy sitting on a throne with a long beard... I don't believe in heaven and hell as a destination."
