Katy Perry assumed the role of a weather presenter during a recent visit to an Australian TV show.

The singer was appearing on Sunrise on Wednesday (March 5) and she was tasked with reading the weather forecast.

The 'Prism' star took it all in her stride and had fan with her pointing wand.

Perry is in the country to promote the announcement of an Australia and New Zealand tour that is set to take place in November.

In the same Sunrise segment meanwhile, the singer opened up on what it was like to kiss Miley Cyrus at one of her concerts recently. She said:

"I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do, and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away."

Perry joked: "God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!"
