Katy Perry opens up about John Mayer split: 'There's no bad blood but there might be songs'

'Dark Horse' beauty Katy Perry has revealed that while she has no bad feelings towards her ex-boyfriend John Mayer, she might eventually write songs about him.

During a new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, the superstar opened up about their split and confessed that she has put it all behind her and all she's left with good material for potential future songwriting:

“I know it sounds really hippie-sh*t, but I’m living in the now and not fantasising about the future or [being] torn up about the past. I’m super Eckhart Tolle.

Perry went onto add: "I have a lot of respect for [John] still, and I know it goes both ways. There’s no bad blood, but I’m sure there will be inspired songs."

She shared a snapshot of her Cosmopolitan cover photo earlier today (May 28), which can be seen above left, and accompanied it with a message that explains she will be on the cover of that particular magazine around the world: "NBD just COVERing all 62 international editions of@Cosmopolitan's July issue... She on newsstands June 3."
