Pop superstar Katy Perry has revealed some exciting news to her fans this afternoon (June 17) about a brand new business venture that is bound to keep her busy and involved in the music industry for many years to come. 

The beauty, who is currently on her Prismatic world tour, has announced that she has just launched her very own record label and has already made her first signing. She confirmed the details on Twitter, writing:

"I am so ECSTATIC to finally announce my NEW label Metamorphosis Music & my first signing, the incredibly talented & soulful FERRAS! @ferras."

Perry then added: "USA/CANADA: check out his INCREDIBLE ep here (& our duet!) and come see him play on #ThePrismaticWorldTour!"

Ferras (pictured above left) is Metamorphosis Music's very first artist and his official Facebook biography explains that "Ferras and Katy Perry bonded in 2007 when both were newly signed to Capitol Records", so their relationship goes back a long way. He will also open for Perry on the north American leg of her new tour.
