Katy Perry on being active online: 'I want to be relatable and accessible'

Superstar Katy Perry has opened up about the importance of utilising social media as a popstar in this day and age.

Speaking to German magazine Jolie, the beauty explained that part of the appeal of being so present on social media is the immediacy of it and also the fact that it makes her very accessible to her fan base, which is something she feels is very important:

"If you want to say something or show people something, you can do it right in that moment. That makes me much more normal and accessible for my fans. I want to be a popstar you can really relate to. I love that!"

Perry, meanwhile, also recently confirmed that she will be performing live at next year's Super Bowl Half Time Show, which will take place in Arizona on February 1. Last year's Half Time show belonged to Bruno Mars.
