Katy Perry has been officially confirmed for next year's Super Bowl half-time show.

The singer has long been rumoured for the massive event, which is taking place on February 1 in Glendale, Arizona.

Her appearance was announced on Sunday (November 23), with a promo video soon unleashed online.

The clip sees Katy Perry take the camera though her Super Bowl show testing arena.

She is seen talking her about ideas for the show, including dousing the stadium in edible glitter and involving millions of kittens.

The 2014 Super Bowl meanwhile saw Bruno Mars headline.
