Katy Perry's dad Keith Hudson has spoken of his pride just days before the singer performs at the Super Bowl.

The 'Roar' star is playing the half-time slot at the Arizona event on Sunday (February 1), with a massive TV audience expected.

Perry's father Hudson, who is a church minister, has previously criticised her for promoting the wrong things.

However, he told the Daily Mail that he is "always proud" of his daughter.

Hudson said of the half-time slot: "Oh no, I don't have a problem. She's gonna do some good ones - she's excited.

"I’m always proud. I’m a proud father."
