Katy Perry to 'bring back' female special guest at Super Bowl

Katy Perry has revealed that she will perform with a female special guest at the Super Bowl.

The singer is due to play the coveted half-time slot at the American football event in Arizona on Sunday (February 1).

It has already been confirmed that rocker Lenny Kravitz will take to the stage during the short concert, which is expected to enjoy a TV audience of over 100 million.

Perry has now revealed at a press conference that she will also play with an "old school" female special guest.

She said: "I wanted to bring someone back...[and make it] a real female fun night.

"Jaws will drop and faces will melt when she steps on the stage."

It has been speculated that Perry's guest could be Madonna, who performed at the Super Bowl in 2012.
