Katy Perry on Super Bowl prep: 'I had no f**king life for six months'

Pop sensation Katy Perry has opened up about the logistics behind agreeing to perform at the Super Bowl for the iconic Half Time show and admitted that nothing about it was straightforward.

During an interview with ELLE magazine, the beauty confessed that she had to give up a lot of the control she usually has over her live show because the NFL have many different rules to abide by:

"In my show, I am boss daddy. I am boss mommy. They call me Boss. Everything goes through my eyes; I call all the shots, 100 per cent of it. With the NFL, I have to be accountable to several levels of red tape. There are many committees I have to go through for my costumes, the budgets of my show, every interview - everything, I have to report to somebody."

She went onto add that the preparation for the set took around 6 months and was incredibly hard-going: "So I am no longer the boss; I have to relinquish that control... Once you decide you're gonna do the Super Bowl, you're gonna have no f**king life for six months. It is the biggest thing..."
