Katy Perry lawyers tell website to stop selling Left Shark 3D print-outs

Laywers acting for Katy Perry have requested that a website should stop selling 3D print-outs of the Super Bowl 'Left Shark'.

The character became an internet hit after a person dressed as a shark danced somewhat awkwardly as part of the singer's Super Bowl routine on Sunday (February 1).

Fernando Sosa prints and sells 3D sculptures online and he started listing ones of the Left Shark.

However, lawyers for Perry have swooped and have asked for Sosa to remove the items.

They wrote in a letter: "Our client [Perry] recently has learned that you have been involved in the manufacture, sale, marketing and distribution of merchandise featuring a shark sculpture which embodies and uses the [Super Bowl halftime show], and that you have displayed this product on your website, in connection with such sale and distribution."

Sosa responded: "Well, it looks like dictators and world leaders like Putin and Kim Jong Un or Chris Christie are much easier to deal with.

"So I probably will go back to doing pieces about them and other world leaders. All this lawyer crap is very stressful."
