Katy Perry album spends 200th week on US chart

Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' is enjoying its 200th week on the US albums chart.

The record was first released in 2010 and it debuted at No.1 in her native country.

Billboard have confirmed that the album has now spent 200 weeks on their Billboard 200 chart.

It is currently placed at No.126 on the list after dropping from No.96.

'Teenage Dream' is only the 25th album to achieve the 200-week feat since the chart began using Nielsen Music sales date in 1991.

Other records to have done so include Nirvana's 'Nevermind', Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' and Mumford & Sons' 'Sigh No More'.

Nearly three million copies of 'Teenage Dream' have been sold in the US.
