Katy Perry has revealed that her 'Dark Horse' video has broken the one billion views barrier.

The singer's clip has been teetering on the edge of the milestone for a number of weeks.

At the time of writing, neither the VEVO video or its YouTube counterpart say it has actually bypassed one billion views.

However, Perry herself took to Twitter today (June 9) to state that the barrier has been broken.

She wrote: "Guys. Wut. Dark Horse has reached 1 BILLION views?! I seriously [love] ur [eye] balls & ur fingers for dem clicks...*heads back to the trap house*."

'Dark Horse' joins an exclusive club of one billion view videos that also features the likes of Psy's 'Gangnam Style' and Justin Bieber's 'Baby'.
