Katy Perry has landed at third place on a list of the world's highest paid stars.

The singer is estimated by Forbes to have raked in $135 million (£85.8 million) between June last year and June 2015.

She is only placed behind boxers Floyd Mayweather ($300 million/£191 million) and Manny Pacquiao ($160m/£102 million).

Pop group One Direction are fourth on the list with takings of $130 million (£82.7 million).

Garth Brooks is the next best placed music star ($90 million/£57.2 million), with Taylor Swift following at No.8 with $80 million (£50.9 million).

Other high ranking stars include Howard Stern, James Patterson and Cristiano Ronaldo.
