Katy Perry to sing for troops

Katy Perry will sing for the US troops at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California.

The 'VH1 Divas Salute The Troops' concert signals VH1's first collaboration with the USO.

Paramore, Sugarland, Keri Hilson and Nicki Minaj will also visit a military base in the Middle East to play for marines, soldiers, coastguardsmen and reservist.

Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Aretha Franklin and Celine Dion have performed in front of the US troops in the past. 

The show will be broadcast on December 5 on VH1 and will also be broadcast internationally for the service men and women and their families stationed outside the U.S, courtesy of the Armed Forces Network.
