Katy Perry on costumes: 'I create whatever the f**k I want'

Superstar Katy Perry has revealed that she likes to design her own costumes because her imagination is limitless, but it's more difficult when she attends an event with a dress code because she has to give up that power.

At the recent launch of her Katy Kat collection with Cover Girl, she told People Style that dressing for the Met Gala is quite stressful because there's so much pressure to blow everyone away:

"For me, Met Gala, it’s great, it’s so much fun, it’s the best party, but you’re a little bit beholden to designers you know. When I create my own costumes for tour, it’s like whatever the f**k I want to do. It’s just like larger than life. It’s like: Can it move, can it smell, can it — blah, blah, blah, blah?”

Referring to this year's ‘Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’ theme, the 'Dark Horse' beauty added: “I know a couple of people are coming like lit up and stuff like that, and I’m like, ‘I did that in 2010, you’re late!' I’m going to do something, but I’m sure like Gaga is going to arrive on drone, and I’ll just be like, ‘Grrr! Again! S**t!.'”
