Katy Perry is Twitter's most-followed user after hitting 90m

Pop sensation Katy Perry has now become Twitter's most followed user after passing the 90 million mark.

The social media site shared the exciting news this evening and posted this message: "It's party time, @katyperry! With 90 million on the guest list, we're gonna need a really big dance floor."

At the time of writing Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has 83.8 million Twitter followers and Taylor Swift has 79 million followers.

As previously reported, Katy Perry's song 'Firework' was recently certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry after shifting over 400,000 copies in the UK since its release.

It was also announced that Perry's new fragrance is called Mad Love. The perfume's name is interestingly also a lyric from Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' single, which is said to be about her feud with Perry, and is the newest addition to her growing collection of scents. Perry's other perfumes include Mad Potion, Purr, Meow, Killer Queen and Royal Revolution.
