Katy Perry, who often updates her Twitter page, took advantage of a trending topic this morning (May 24) and revealed some interesting facts about her childhood. 

The key phrase was #inmiddleschool and the 'Teenage Dream' singer let her fans know that she understands what it's like to be on the outside, too:

"#Inmiddleschool I had such crap(healthy) brown paper bag lunches that I couldn't trade ANYTHING. Had carrot sticks NO dip. #wanteddunkaroos"
