Katy Perry plans to launch her own record label

Now that pop sensation Katy Perry has finished with the 'Teenage Dream' chapter of her career she is looking for a new project and wants to launch her own record label.

The songstress explained that 'Wide Awake' was the final part of her latest album's journey and now that it's been released she hopes to expand her business skills by creating a label that aims to help artists achieve more "financial success".

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Perry explained:

"I'm preparing for it now. And when this record label does come to fruition, I'm going to try and avoid the things that take away any fighting chance for an artist to have financial success."

"As people are coming to me with opportunities, I'm thinking, 'How would I want to be treated?'"

She also recently opened up about her beliefs in both love and marriage now that she's gone through a divorce, and revealed that she will be more cautious after everything that's happened but still sees significant value in them.
