Katy Perry becomes the face of potato chip brand
'Teenage Dream' sensation Katy Perry has signed up to become the face of Popchips.
She revealed that she's excited to get involved in the potato chip brand's marketing campaign as she was "hooked" after eating some of them in a hotel's minibar, and explained in an official statement:
"I remember it was late at night, and I was craving a midnight snack without the guilt. The bag stood out in the minibar, and I was pleasantly surprised when I read the back of the label and saw that it was a healthier choice. I was hooked after my first bite!"
The company also shared a press release about the partnership and admitted that her "unique style and personality" will benefit their product as people relate and look up to her:
"We are thrilled to announce that Katy Perry, global pop superstar and long-time fan of Popchips, has joined as an investor, ambassador and new face of the brand. What started out as a snack craving for Katy has turned into an exciting partnership that will combine Katy's unique style and personality with our mission to put the fun back in snacking."
