Katy Perry has opened up on what life on tour is sometimes really like.

The pop megastar has played countless gigs in numerous countries over the last few years promoting her 2010 'Teenage Dream' album but it seems life on the road isn't always quite so glamorous.

She said that whilst you may float onto stage like "Mary Poppins", sometimes the reality is that you have just "peed in a bucket" and have been indulging in some dry-heaving. She said:

"You walk on stage feeling like Mary Poppins but really you've just had your skin zipped, peed in a bucket and been dry-heaving over the trash can."

As previously reported, Perry recently spoke about the chances of forging a film career following her first documentary style movie, 'Part of Me'.

She admitted however that she would have to work on her acting skills in order to have any sort of impact.
