Pop beauty Katy Perry has treated fans to a glimpse of the official artwork for her forthcoming new single, 'Roar'.

The songstress took to her Twitter page earlier this evening (August 8) and told her UK fans that as a special treat they could access the image if the pre-ordered the track on iTunes, writing:

"!! ATTENTION UK !! EXCLUSIVELY for u guys, be the 1ST ones to see the #ROAR artwork NOW by pre-ordering the single."

'Roar' will debut later this month on August 12 and Perry's third studio album, 'Prism', will follow on October 22. She has been promoting the impending release by driving a gold-coloured truck around the USA and fans have been sharing photographs of the eye-catching vehicle on social networking sites.
