Katy Perry offers fans the chance to unlock content from 'Prism'

Pop songstress Katy Perry has teamed up with soft drinks giant Pepsi and MTV to give fans the chance to use social media to unlock music from her forthcoming new album.

'Prism' is due to be officially released on October 22, but followers of the 'Teenage Dream' beauty can use a special hashtag on Twitter to help unlock content.

A message on the site explains: "Tweet with #KATYNOW to unlock song titles, lyrics and sneak peeks from the new album! Pepsi is then letting YOU decide which of Katy’s new songs will be released early before her album drops."

Song lyrics, song titles and clips from the tracks are up for grabs if fans can get the hashtag to trend and it receives enough online attention.

Her new single, 'Roar', has now become the biggest digital debut of 2013 and sales are expected to reach 525,000 copies before the end of this week.

Perry has also just shared a link to the promotional video for her upcoming new fragrance, entitled 'Killer Queen' (pictured below), and it was shot by Jonas Akerlund, who worked with Lady Gaga on her 'Paparazzi' music video.
