Katy Perry has stated that she doesn't always want to look 100% perfect.

The singer told the new edition of Cosmopolitan that she is keen to experiment with her image.

The 'Part of Me' star added, however, that she isn't always striving to reach perfection with every part of her look, saying:

"I love having fun with my looks. I want to present myself as a human being, with lots of different aspects that aren't necessarily perfect."

Perry added: "I think it's totally fine to accept everything you have if you can. It's good to try and have a certain grace with everything, but a sense of humour is most important. I try not to take myself too seriously."

The singer meanwhile has recorded her eighth US No.1 single with her latest track 'Roar'.

The song is due to feature on Perry's forthcoming new album 'Prism', which is due for an October 22 release.
