Ellie Goulding is at No.2 with her former chart-topper 'Burn', Coldplay have debuted at 7 with their 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' soundtrack offering 'Atlas', and Swedish House Mafia have shot up a phenomenal 92 positions to No.30 with 'Don't You Worry Child'.

Elsewhere in the Top 40, Mutya Keisha Siobhan have climbed 10 spots to No.40 with 'Flatline', Icona Pop's 'I Love It' is at No.32, and One Direction's 'Best Song Ever' is at No.21.

Perry, meanwhile, tweeted a message to her fans in the UK last night to let them know that she is due to return to the country very soon: "Hey UK! I appreciate the love so much. In exchange I will be seeing you in both SEPTEMBER & OCTOBER. How's that for payback?"
