Katy Perry has matched a US chart record previously set by Rihanna.

The singer has seen her new single 'Roar' hit the top of the Pop Songs radio airplay chart - her tenth song to do so.

This means that she has equalled Rihanna's record of ten.

P!nk meanwhile has seen nine tracks hit No.1 on the list, whilst Lady Gaga has had seven chart-toppers.

Perry's 'Roar' has also topped the main Billboard Hot 100, as well as the UK singles chart.

The pop songstress meanwhile recently unleashed new track 'Dark Horse' on iTunes - but it will not be second single to be taken from her upcoming new album 'Prism'.
