Katy Perry has launched her new perfume with a lavish event in Germany.

The singer is releasing the fragrance Killer Queen ahead of her new album 'Prism', which will hit shelves on October 22.

She unveiled the scent in Berlin on Wednesday (September 25), wearing a red tartan dress.

Perry posed for photographs before leaving the launch on the back of an awaiting motorbike.

Speaking at the event, the 'Part of Me' star said that Killer Queen is both subtle and strong, adding that a lot of her memories have a smell attached to them. She said:

"Even my first boyfriend, I remember what he smelled like. And to this day if someone else is wearing the same cologne and they walk by me, I'll be like 'Oh my God I'm sixteen again'. So I think a fragrance in your life can leave that lasting impression."
