Katy Perry to perform brand new track from 'Prism' at the MTV EMAs

Pop superstar Katy Perry is due to perform at this year's MTV EMAs and has promised fans an exclusive rendition of a brand new song from her upcoming new album, 'Prism'.

The record is due to be released on October 22 and she will treat the ceremony's audience along with viewers at home to a very special set.

Perry confirmed the exciting news in an official statement and revealed that she can't wait to take the stage at the event, which will take place on November 10 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam:

“I'm so excited to return to the EMA stage! I have tailor-made a performance of a brand new song from 'PRISM' to share with fans from around the world on November 10.”

Earlier this month, Perry told Billboard that she originally didn't expect the album to be released this year and expected it to be available more towards next spring: "In May I sat down with my managers and said, 'Guys, I think I'm going to have everything ready enough to come out this fourth quarter'. We weren't really thinking we'd be able to put anything out until February [2014], but you don't want to sit on something that's about to burst."
