Katy Perry: 'Mick Jagger hit on me when I was 18'

'Dark Horse' pop beauty Katy Perry has revealed that she once turned down the advances of Sir Mick Jagger at dinner.

She made the surprising confession during a recent interview with Nova FM: "I went to dinner with him one time and he hit on me when I was 18! That was a long time ago, and he's been very kind."

Upon hearing her story, a representative for Jagger issued a statement to E! News and denied that he ever tried it on with her: "Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry... Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else."

It was recently confirmed that Perry's new album, 'Prism', shot to No.1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and it has also earned her the title of biggest sales week for a female artist in 2013 so far. She took the impressive record from Miley Cyrus, who previously held it with 'Bangerz'.

The superstar is currently in Japan, promoting 'Prism', and told her 46.2 million Twitter followers that she's excited about today (November 1) because she will be reunited with the One Direction heartthrobs in downtown Tokyo:

"Today could not be a better day! I get to hang with @pamyurin & @onedirection on MUSIC STATION in TOKYO!"
