Katy Perry on double GRAMMY nominations: 'It has made my flu or cold much easier to deal with'

Songstress Katy Perry is up for 2 GRAMMY Awards at 2014's ceremony, namely for Song of the Year and Best Solo Pop Performance, which are both for 'Roar', and confessed that she was overwhelmed by the announcement.

When asked about her reaction to being nominated for 2 GRAMMYs, Perry explained to Capital FM that she was overjoyed and the great news is making her cold more bearable:

"That happened this morning! That was great news to wake up to. I'm very happy. I've been a bit ill as you can hear in my nose right now! Immigration let me bring it in... this is my Christmas gift to all of you. I was very happy to hear that news and it made the flu or cold, or whatever's going on with my body, much easier to deal with."

She performed at London's Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball yesterday at the O2 Arena and joked that her illness means that she wouldn't be up for partying after her set:

"I'm going straight to bed after this one. If I can feel better in a few days I might go to a civilised dinner or Chinawhite or something like that... just kidding! I'm very happy to be here, very excited to spend my holidays in England, which celebrates the holidays like nowhere else in the world. I feel like Father Christmas is from London... it feels that way."
