Kelly Clarkson teases secret collaborator: 'He's super talented and we've worked together before'

Earlier today (January 12), country-pop sensation Kelly Clarkson treated fans to the first listen of her brand new single, 'Heartbeat Song' and she has now opened up about her new material in an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

Speaking to the radio star this morning, Clarkson explained that her upcoming new album features an exciting collaboration with a male singer although she admitted that the as of yet unnamed duet partner is "not as obvious as you might think.”

Clarkson went onto add that it's someone she has worked with in the past: “He is super talented and we’ve worked together before. The song is really cool as well. I got this song and it was actually written as a solo, and I was like, ‘It would be so much darker if it was duet.’ I don’t want to give it away."

On January 3, meanwhile, the songstress took to her official Twitter page and told her followers that her new record will be pop-influenced: “People keep asking. My next album is pop. But I am always influenced by music I love, which is pop-rock/country/r&b/dance #whoknowswhatsnext”.
