Kelly Clarkson has taken to Twitter to express her delight at turning 30.

The singer hit the milestone today (April 24) and wished her fans an "awesome day" on the social networking website.

She added that she feels "happy and healthy" as she looks ahead to the next decade of her life. She said:

"Today I am 30 years old YEAHHHHHHHH!!!! I am happy, healthy, and looking forward to my thirties! Have an awesome day everybody!"

As previously reported, Kelly Clarkson recently signed up to appear on new TV talent show 'Duets', in which each judge will look for their perfect duet partner.
