'Catch My Breath' superstar Kelly Clarkson has confessed that with her Christmas album on the horizon and dealing with an upcoming wedding, her life is incredibly busy at the moment.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, Clarkson explained that her wedding to Brandon Blackstock will take place later this autumn so she is preoccupied with making plans for the big day and is also preparing to release a festive record: "The wedding is two months away. It’s end of October. I’m so over it. It’s so overwhelming."

"We’re just doing a lot: touring and the wedding and the Christmas album, so I’m over the wedding part.”

She also opened up about being a stepmother to two children and admitted that while it seems like a lot to take on she loves her new role and fell into it easily:

"I have a 12-year-old and a 6-year-old now…after being single for six years! We all live together and everything…it’s so different, but it’s perfect. They’re awesome and I actually really dig the mom thing…I am quick to go, ‘I told you not to touch that!’…I am totally my mom. My mom was a hard mom.”

Clarkson's Christmas album, entitled 'Wrapped In Red', will drop on October 29.
