'Tie It Up' beauty Kelly Clarkson has revealed that while she's overjoyed at being pregnant, the morning sickness she is currently going through is awful. 

During an interview with The Today Show this morning (November 26), she confessed that she's being violently ill throughout each day and it's definitely not something that's specifically limited to the morning in her case: "I don't know why they call it morning sickness. That's my big joke right now because it's all day and all night. I am super-excited about being pregnant, though. I'm just looking forward to the second trimester... they say it's better."

She announced that she is expecting her first child with new husband Brandon Blackstock earlier this month and explained that they decided to tell the press because she didn't want people thinking she was pulling out of commitments due to laziness:

"We were trying to wait until the end of my first trimester because you're supposed to, I guess, because you're less likely to have a miscarriage. But everybody kept talking about it and I had to cancel something because I've been so ill. I didn't want people to think I was cancelling because I'm lazy or something, so we just told people."

She then joked that she believes her baby is a girl: "Well, it's a gut feeling, too, because she's killing me. And of course it's a girl, right, causing the trouble. So, it's gotta be a girl. We're not saying (the name) because I don't want someone stealing my baby name and I'm so early. We named our kid before we were even pregnant."
