Kelly Rowland compares X Factor USA to UK: "We tend to be more well-rehearsed"

Former Destiny’s Child star Kelly Rowland has been comparing her experiences of being a judge on both the UK and US versions of The X Factor.

The ‘When Love Takes Over’ singer previously served as a judge on the eighth series of The X Factor UK in 2011 alongside Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow.

The singer stepped down after one series due to a conflicting schedule.

Rowland is currently sitting on the judging panel for The X Factor USA beside Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio.

Weighing up the variations between her experiences on the talent show Rowland said: “The major difference is that Simon wasn't there when I did the UK version and that's really basically it to me.”

She continued: “With the US version, we tend to be more well-rehearsed and we just want to be so perfect, but sometimes the raw talent that comes in from a London pub is even more intriguing and interesting for us.”

Summing up her reflections on her time on The X Factor in the UK, Kelly concluded: "I love finding new talent, and doing The X Factor in the UK was just incredible. I will never forget it. It was one of the best moments I've had in my career."
