Ke$ha on female role models in music: 'Lady Gaga once sent me animal crackers'

Pop sensation Ke$ha has admitted that while she doesn't compare herself to other female solo artists in the music industry, she has developed good friendships with several of them.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, the 'C'mon' star explained how she doesn't see other hitmakers as competition because they're all so different and when asked who she sees as peers or threats, explained: "I actually have no idea and I don't really know how to gauge that. I just think I'm kinda in a league of my own."

"I don't feel competitive with other women, and honestly, I'm not saying this to sound PC. I actually really love strong, fierce women that are just, like, killing it. It makes me really happy to see women who are just killing it at life. So, I don't really feel competitive. I'm pretty friendly with all the people I'm on the radio with."

"Lady Gaga sent me animal crackers and we've had a nice rapport. I know Katy Perry and I did a song with Nicki Minaj, and I wrote a song for Britney [Spears]. I mean I just have mad respect for whoever my peers are, but all the people that I've ever met with that are women I don't feel competitive with. I'm actually, like, way into women ruling sh*t."
