Kimberley Walsh: 'I couldn't handle Cheryl's level of fame'

Girls Aloud songstress Kimberley Walsh has revealed that she is impressed with Cheryl Cole's success, but explained that she wouldn't like to be that famous because it must be stressful.

Speaking to S magazine, the newly solo singer confessed that the thought of people constantly photographing you and following you around doesn't appeal to her:

"I don't know if I'd deal with that as well as Cheryl does. Wherever you go it creates a scene. She copes really well, but then she's got close family around her and she's also got us."

Despite speculating on how she might cope with extreme levels of fame, Walsh added that she's very "chilled out" and she keeps a level head outside of her day job: "I'm quite chilled-out as a person and my family always say, 'you have a good temperament for this job because things go over your head.' My job is extraordinary but my life outside work is very normal."

She also opened up about her solo work and confessed that she wanted introduce showtunes to a younger generation: "The idea is to turn some of the songs on their head and bring something different to them, and also I want to introduce them to the younger generation - you know, our fans and people who wouldn't usually buy a musicals album."
