Kylie Minogue admits that it was will.i.am who made her decide to become a coach on The Voice UK.

The Aussie has been filming for the next series of the BBC TV talent show alongside newbie Ricky Wilson and old hats will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones.

However, she told The Sun that she was initially unsure about accepting the role before will.i.am stepped in with some encouragement.

Minogue said: "I was considering it and I didn't I know what the answer was. Then I had a meeting in LA and will.i.am bombed the meeting. I had just one question to Will - how was the experience? He said he loved it, so I thought, 'OK, that's cool'."

Will.i.am meanwhile previously said that he said he would rejoin The Voice if Minogue was signed up to the show.

The two music stars will also feature on the Australian version of The Voice alongside Ricky Martin and Good Charlotte's Joel Madden.
