Kylie Minogue quits The Voice

Kylie Minogue has left The Voice after only one series.

The Australian singer signed up to appear as a coach on the UK TV talent show for its third series, which ended earlier this month with Jermain Jackman winning the contest.

However, Minogue has today (April 11) confirmed that she won't be returning for the next series due to touring her 2014 album 'Kiss Me Once'.

She said on Twitter: "#Lovers, due to timing of my tour I won’t be back next season for The Voice UK. Thanks to all who supported! Hope to see you on my KMO tour!"

Minogue later added in a statement: "I absolutely loved my time on the show, and I'll miss all of the incredible people who were a part of my experience."

BBC One said on the social networking website: "Discussions for series 4 of @BBCTheVoiceUK are ongoing and the line-up will be announced in due course."

Minogue is set to tour her record in Europe in September, October and November.
