Kylie Minogue to turn on Oxford Street Christmas lights

Kylie Minogue has been given the honour of turning on the Christmas lights at London's Oxford Street this year.

The singer will switch on the lights on Sunday (November 1).

Ben Haenow, Foxes, Fleur East, Gabrielle Aplin and the cast from Matilda the Musical are due to perform.

The event will take place outside PANDORA from 5.30pm, with Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon set to host.

The Australian will follow in the footsteps of Cheryl, who turned on the lights last year.

Minogue meanwhile is due to release her festive album 'Christmas' on November 13.

She will follow the record with a special gig at London's Royal Albert Hall on December 11.
