Labrinth: "Too many kids chase fame"

Labrinth is troubled by the amount of young people who are chasing fame instead of a worthwhile dream.

The 'Earthquake' hitmaker has featured regularly in the charts since his collaboration with rapper Tinie Tempah - 'Pass Out'-  reached No. 1 in 2010.

Labrinth, 24, is bothered by the lack of ambition amongst the younger generation, and took to Twitter today to write: "I spoke to my nephew a while ago and he says to me "I want to be famous" I said what do you want to be famous for ? Being a scientist? Maybe a musician? He says "I don't know" that makes me sad....

He added: "To many kids just want to be famous... But don't want to work hard at being something that eventually makes em famous (sic)."

Besides airing his thoughts to fans, Labrinth also revealed he is working hard in the studio ahead of his tour next month.

"I'm writing song everyday up to the tour in February.... (sic)."
