Labrinth teases new album: 'I want to show people where I've come from'

'Earthquake' hitmaker Labrinth has opened up about the new music he's been working on and confessed that he's already really proud of what he has produced.

This new record will be the follow up to 2011's 'Electronic Earth' and he told the Daily Star newspaper that it has a different sound and will showcase his own background in the sound and styles it boasts:

"The next album is amazing. I'm excited as it's a bit more live, more orchestral and there's horn sections. I'm still exploring new stuff and have been buying an insane amount of vintage synthesisers as I want people to see where I've come from in terms of gospel, soul."

He added confidently: "A lot more of my voice and musicality shines through."

Labrinth also explained that he wants to move away from the dance music scene and to bring back the honesty that can be heard in instruments: "Dance music can be devoid of soul so bringing acoustic instruments back is a powerful thing."
