Lady Gaga performs stunning tribute to Carole King

Modern pop icon Lady Gaga wowed last night (January 24) at the MusiCares gala in Los Angeles, at which Carole King was honoured as 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year, by performing King's 'You've Got A Friend'.

The 'Applause' superstar took the stage in a stunning white cut-out dress and sat down at a white piano to treat event-goers to a rendition of the well-loved song, which was written by King.

Following her performance at the gala, Gaga took to her official Twitter page and told her Little Monsters how much she enjoyed paying tribute to King (pictured below):

"Honoring u @Carole_King was a privilege. You continue to inspire us. Were so lucky to have you in the world, your music will last forever."

Alicia Keys was also at the event and she performed King's '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman', which MusiCares' Twitter page revealed earned her a "loud standing ovation".
