Lady Gaga has revealed her pride at coming back from a serious hip operation.

The singer was forced to cancel a number of North America tour dates last year after succumbing to hip pain.

The 'Applause' star later had to undergo an extensive hip operation which sidelined Gaga for a number of months.

She has now reflected on the twelve months that have passed since the surgery, tweeting:

"I can't believe it was 1yr ago this wk that I had my hip screwed together! I'm proud of how hard I worked to recover. On to the next level!"

Gaga is set to return to the touring circuit this spring and summer on her artRave: The ARTPOP Ball tour, which will start off in North America before hitting Europe.
