Gaga: "If you pay money for a ticket then the artist shouldn't lip-sync"

Lady Gaga has suggested that singers who lip-sync live are being deceitful towards their fans.

The US star told Extra that she understands if some artists prefer not to sing their vocals live as a result of the type of performer they are.

However, she added that those who charge a lot of money for tickets and lip-sync aren't treating their fans with due respect.

Gaga said: "I don't think it's cool to lip-sync. I'm not judging if people do, because it's everyone's own style and type of artist they've decided to be.

"But I think that if you pay money for a ticket to see a show then the artist should f**king have pipes and sing their records for you."

The singer meanwhile is due to bring her artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour to the UK in October of a series of shows.
